Prior to getting this cable I had just a generic toslink fiber optic cable that is like 9 years old. After i plugged in this cable i felt like my sounds came alive again. Highs were there that I didn't have before and the spectrum was better balanced in general. If you can afford it I highly recommend this cable especially with Monsters lifetime warranty -- Awesome audio cable
