This cable fits snug and tight, you just have to push it a little hard for the connector to clip in. for the people who have commented that it keeps falling out, try to apply a bit more force on the connector and it will click lock very firmly. I also had the same problem in the beginning but as a last resort i applied more pressure and that did it.
Was in secure packaging, wrapped in plastic and had rubber tips prtecting the optical ends. the sound is great from my PS3 towards the home theater and with both ends secured tightly i can move arouund the PS as well as the home theater. -- great buy!!

Don't pay too much for your cables. This optical cable works just as well as any other cable I've ever used. Plan ahead, buy from Amazon, and don't get ripped off by the "big-box" stores. -- Great Sound Quality

I've got this cable going from my Samsung PN50B650 TV to the back of my Yamaha RX-V863 receiver. The connection is firm and the cable seems sturdy enough. Works as advertised. -- Works great.
