This is the third TOSLink cable I purchased and they work as advertised. I don't know if the ones at the local store that cost 20 times as much will give me better sound but the sound I get out of this one is great already through a full blown home theatre system. I doubt there are any noticeable difference except the price. -- Why pay more?
