I bought this cable with the intention of using it for a microphone extension cable for my videography, however it produced a high pitched whining noise on the footage. However, I then used it to extend the range of my speakers in my house, and for this scenario, it worked perfectly. Only purchase this cable to extend audio for playback, not for recording. -- Good for extending audio output, but not for recording.

We have had these for a few weeks now and all 8 have proven to be rugged, short-free, and reliable to the end. We are using them to record a demo. The room is sizable, but there is no avoiding having the lines continually stepped on, pulled, and generally abused by 5-6 people at a time. They have held up without a problem. I recommend these to anyone looking for a reliable, cheap, and rugged solution.

As for sound, they are what they should be. I notice no change when the headphones are plugged into an extension or they are directly plugged in. We are using an 8 channel Behringer headphone amplifier.

At 25 feet, these extensions can nearly reach across our practice space too.

In short, buy more than you need. You never know when they'll come in handy. -- For This Price!

I bought this to hook up to my amplifier while I watch TV on my couch. I thought about getting
a wireless headphone but I am concerned about drop connection, range and hissing sound/noise. Now, I just have to deal with a long cable, which is something I can handle. I got a good headphone and I detect no degradation in the sound quality. -- Function as advertised
